Tzu Chi’s Disaster Relief AssessmentTeam arrived at Haiti 3 weeks ago to assess material distribution and medicalassistance to quake survivors. Our volunteers conducted material distributionprogram and free medical clinic at the Impact for God Orphanage and at IHDC inthe city of Tabarre, benefiting over 3,300 people.
On February 10, the 1st Canadian reliefteam (3 volunteers - Mac Miao, Henry Hsu and Eric Hsu) will go to the city ofTabarre in Haiti to assist with material distribution and assistance program.On Feb 17, the 2nd relief team with 10 volunteers will leave Canada for Haiti.

Tzu Chi Foundation invites localresidents to help with clean up and other duties in exchange for food andcash. The relief work program will not only provide immediate needs to theresidents, it will also provide hope and love.
Tzu Chi Foundation will concentrate itsshort to medium term charity works in the city of Tabarree for two reasons:
Peace Keepers from Jordan in Tabarreewill ensure the safety of our volunteers.
Tabarre has also been chosen by UN to bea place to accommodate other survivors.
On February 11 (one month after thequake), in collaboration with the Impact for God Church, Tzu Chi volunteerswill organize a material distribution to about 7,000 survivors follow by alarge scale prayer service for quake victims and survivors. All residents areinvited and we also ask everyone to observe the vegetarian diet for three days.
