◎ On July 8th, Tzu Chi Foundation of Western Toronto organized a material distribution event at Evangel Hall Mission. Volunteers served delicious vegetarian meals and distributed materials to homeless people and low income families. Many clients of Evangel Hall Mission were benefited by this act of kindness. ◎ Help Haiti with Love: Tzu Chi Foundation's global effort continues in helping the disaster hit Haiti. 	Tzu Chi Global Relief Briefing in Burnaby City Hall The C.E.O. of Tzu Chi Foundation Canada, Gary Ho, attended Burnaby City Council Meeting on June 28 to share Tzu Chi's 18 years of experience in global relief efforts.

	Volunteers in Vancouver Fund Raise for Local Hospitals Volunteers in Vancouver on the west coast of Canada are raising C$175,000 for local hospitals. Part of their contribution is 2,000 sticky rice dumplings they are making for the Dragon Boat Festival.

	More Than 100 Volunteers Attend Training Course in Haiti More than 100 Haitians attended a training course held by visiting Tzu Chi volunteers. All had been touched by seeing the foundation in action after the earthquake and wanted to learn how they could follow suit and make their contribution to society.

	Tri-City News features Tzu Chi volunteer, Mac Miao Mac Miao joined the Haiti relief team to hand out relief supplies and to see about the possibility of setting up a school.
